How will the money we have raised be used?
True Care Foundation provides food provisions for children with the donations it receives from fundraisers. We do whatever it takes to make a lasting difference to children’s lives.
The money and donations you raise will help us to carry on with our life-changing work. It doesn’t matter how much you raise, whether it’s a £10 donation or £100, every single penny helps us to help children.
On average over the last five years, for every pound spent by True Care Foundation, 65p went towards our work for children in low income homes, 30p was spent on raising another pound and 5p was spent on the governance of the charity.
You can find out more about how we spend donations in our Annual Report 2020.
Can I donate the money I raise to a particular country or project?
We aim to reach the children who need the most help and who are the hardest to reach, like children who live in remote areas or ethnic communities, and so we really like your donations to be ‘unrestricted’. This means that you are not restricting what project or country your fundraising and donations are spent on. It also helps our work to be more efficient by reducing our administration costs, making your money and donations reach more children.
Unrestricted funding also helps us to respond quickly, wherever and whenever disaster strikes. Children are always hardest hit by emergencies, losing their lives, parents, homes and schools, and so it is vital that we help them as soon as possible.
In order to achieve our mission and to ensure that our work has the greatest impact on the lives of children, we believe it is vital to be accountable – particularly to the supporters who fund our work.
True Care Fountation takes the responsibility of using our supporters’ donations to the best effect seriously and aspires to the highest standards of good governance.
